Silver Buffaloberry
(Sheperdia argentea)

Silver Buffaloberry is a native thorny shrub that can forma dense thicket through suckering. It withstands cold and wind. Fruits are reddish berries about 1//8 to 1/4 inch across which are edible and very valuable to wildlife.

Average Height: 3-5 feet

Hardiness: Zone 4
Site Requirements: The shrub is winter hardy and alkaline tolerant. It has good drought tolerance, though not as much as Siberian Peashrub.
