Douglas Fir
(Pseudotsuga menziesii var. glauca)

Rocky Mountain Douglas Fir is used for landscaping and they make excellent Christmas trees. Needles are soft, 3/4-1" long with cones that are 3-4". A good tree for windbreaks.

Site Requirements: Best in course to medium soil.  High drought tolerance, and some shade tolerance.  Alkaline intolerant.
