The Northern Utah Consevation District was formed in 1939 and has been serving landowners in northern Box Elder County, Utah since that time.
The district is actively involved in identifying field drains in Box Elder County and identifying and addressing local natural resource concerns and providing solutions.
Other activities the Northern Utah Conservation District is involved in includes:
- Providing public outreach effort on federal regulations regarding animal feeding operations; Conservation Security Program (CSP); Agriculture Resource Development Loan (ARDL); and the Section 319 Clean Water Act.
- Oversees the Bear River Watershed water quality program.
- Represents the district's interests on the Bear River RC&D Board.
- Serve as advisory board for Agriculture Protection Areas in Box Elder county.
