Stewardship Week

"Water is Life " is the theme for the 2008 Soil and Water Stewardship Observance.

To ensure future water supplies, we need to learn about water resources, and plan to use them carefully. To help achieve this goal, NACD has chosen "Water is Life" as the theme for the 2008 Soil and Water Stewardship Week celebration, April 27 to May 4.

This annual observance, celebrated between the last Sunday in April and the first Sunday in May, reminds us of our individual responsibilities to care for the soil and water resources upon which we depend.

Since 1955, the National Association of Conservation Districts has selected an annual theme and developed educational materials for churches of all denominations. Click here for more on the NACD Soil & Water Stewardship Week.

Your local conservation district can provide you with educational materials including an educator's guide, lesson plans, activity sheets, bookmarks, calendars and other Soil & Water Stewardship Week materials. For more information, call your local UACD Zone Office.
