Nature High Summer Camp

Nature High Summer Camp provides an opportunity for Utah high school students to discover nature through one week of structured lessons, hands-on activities, field trips and demonstrations with natural resource professionals. It enables students to learn about the qualifications needed for positions with natural resource management agencies and discover what a career in natural resources is all about.

The Snow College Department of Natural Sciences, as well as the partnering agencies, is concerned about the management of our nation’s natural and agricultural resources. Historically, women and minorities have been underrepresented in resource management careers. The goal of the camp is to expose these students to the activities of these agencies in an effort to encourage students to commit themselves to academic study and careers in math, science, natural resource management and agriculture.

This camp is open to all high school students in grades 9-12 who have a serious interest in the natural environment or the basic sciences. There is a $50 registration fee to attend camp and scholarships are available. All other expenses, including meals, room and programs will be covered by the sponsoring agencies. For more information, please visit the website at www.naturehighcamp.com or call Cindy Ledbetter, Camp Director, at 801.977.4377.
